AFA Teacher of the year award

Aug 10th, 2012 | By | Category: Current Topics of Interest

I am the aerospace education officer for my Civil Air Patrol squadron and I was recently (August 6, 2012) presented with the Air Force Association’s Frank Luke (Luke AFB) Chapter Teacher of the Year Award. It was the first time they have given it to a non k-12 teacher. What a terrific honor.

The certificate says: For demonstrated excellence in education in the spirit of Christa McAuliffe…

That’s so cool. They also gave me a check for $250 which I will use toward the squadrons aerospace education program.

  2. Hi, Sian,

Your life is SO amazing! Congratulations on your teacher of the year award, which, in truth, should be Teacher of the Centuries, and congratulations n the FEMA gig! How interesting it must be in your classroom!

    What’s next and what’s now?
